Browse by Category

Our sound effects catalogue has some 80 main categories eg Backgrounds, Telephones, Explosions etc. Drill down into these categories to see the related sub categories, and drill down into the sub category to produce the sfx listing for that sub category.

Keyword Search of Sound Effects Catalogue

A keyword search has been incorporated for users familiar with the structure of our database to bypass the drill down through categories or to refine search results. To perform a search, enter your chosen keywords into the sound effects search text box at the top of any page and click on the go button

For example:

cooking +sizzle or cooking sizzle	This means the search results must contain sound effects whose keywords contain the word cooking and sizzle.
sizzle -cooking	This means the search results must contain sound effects whose keywords contain the word sizzle but not cooking.
"frying pan" or 'frying pan'	This searches for the entire phrase frying pan, it will return sound effects containing the keywords 'frying pan' as a phrase, but not those with the keywords 'pan frying'.

If more than 30 sound effects are returned by a keyword text search, only the categories to which they belong will be displayed. You may then drill down into these categories to find the sound effects you are looking for.
