AUDIO NETWORK EXPAND OPERATIONS TO THE USAudio Network, the UK’s fastest growing production music company, is heading across the Atlantic and opening their first US office in Los Angeles. The move comes as the company has been receiving an increasing number of music licence requests from US based producers seeking access to the highest quality music resource of 12,000 tracks from 100 of Europe’s top composers. Audio Network’s expansion into the American market is also in response to an increasingly global production market. This is illustrated by the growing number of UK companies, including the BBC, Lion TV, RDF and IMG, who have all extended their UK licenses with Audio Network to cover their US production activities. Jason Langley, Commercial Director, Audio Network Group, commented, “The US is the largest production market in the world, delivering the best quality content for a global, multiplatform audience. For this reason high quality music, cleared for multiple platforms, all territories, in perpetuity is essential. This has been the basis of Audio Network’s success in the US to date and a dedicated US office will allow us to better serve the market.” John Switzer, newly appointed Vice President Business Development, Audio Network US, Inc, said, “I am delighted to be joining a company with the depth and quality of music catalogue as Audio Network and very much look forwards to introducing the service to the United States market”
Notes for editors:Audio Network was launched in 2001 by Andrew Sunnucks and Robert Hurst, both former directors of Boosey & Hawkes Music Publishers. In just six years the company has become established as the leading supplier of music to the UK production community through their commitment to eliminating the costs and hassles traditionally associated with licencing music for use in an increasingly fast moving and global market. All Audio Network music is cleared for world, multi-platforms and in perpetuity. Licenses start from just $390 for unlimited use of the catalogue in a single production.
