2005 BAFTA Interactive Entertainment awards - Music Category
It was announced last week that Audio Network customer Tao Group has
won the top music award for its SSEYO miniMIXA product, a mobile music
sequencer designed to let people write, edit and share compositions.
SSEYO miniMIXA is the most innovative, powerful and feature-packed mobile
music software application you can lay your hands on. It is a mobile
DJ mixer, sequencer, sampler, synthesiser, visualiser & recording
studio all rolled into one.
Installed on a mobile phone, PDA or desktop PC, the software allows
users to create mixes from a range of included music sequences, samples
and synthesizer sounds. Users can increase the range of content available
to them through a growing range of add-on MIXApaks or by adding in their
own recordings and material.
The creative development of the audio content and the MIXApaks available
at launch (Fiesta, Floorzone, Turbulence and Terminator), was undertaken
by Audio Network Plc with composer Igor Dvorkin.
Until recently Igor was an asylum seeker who was under constant threat
of expulsion from the UK. His talent came to the attention of Audio
Network Plc, who campaigned to allow him to remain in the UK and built
support from other organizations.
Andrew Sunnucks Audio Network’s Creative Director said:
“It’s great that Igor’s abilities and value to the
UK has received so much support from organizations as diverse as the
BBC, The Film Council and of course Tao Group. We feel this award vindicates
our determination to persuade the Government to allow Igor to stay in
the UK.”
Audio Network plc
Audio Network represents over 100 composers who work in film, television and other media. The company owns a large catalogue of recorded music and sound effects which it licenses to producers for use in Audio Visual productions.
Igor Dvorkin
Igor was born in the USSR where he trained as an orchestral composer
and conductor and then went on to build his career and reputation
as a songwriter.
