Audio Network launches on-line
music licensing at www.audiolicense.net
Audio Network today announced the launch of a new e-commerce
module allowing producers of film, television programmes, videos
and other media productions instant low cost access to their
award winning music tracks.
Sixty world class composers and producers including Evelyn
Glennie, Terry Devine-King and Chris Blackwell have spent the
last two years creating the comprehensive new catalogue specifically
for Audio Network to eliminate the costs and hassles of using
high quality music.
Audio Network’s Managing Director, Robert Hurst said
“Having so many of the world’s leading composers
and producers as shareholders in our company allows us to offer
great music tracks direct to our customers for global use at
very competitive prices. Audio Network proves that low cost
does not mean compromising on quality”
Andrew Sunnucks, Creative Director added “We specially
commissioned the writing and recording of a brand new catalogue
covering every style of music and built the advanced search
functions at our web site www.audiolicense.net to help our customers
save time searching through racks of outdated CDs. We also encourage
our customers to call us to help them source a shortlist of
appropriate tracks so that they can spend even more of their
time on the creative processes”
Audio Network is not abandoning its CD music service and expects
to offer both an on-line and CD based service for many years
to come.
Regular users of music can save even more money by taking advantage
of an introductory subscription licence rate still being offered
by Audio Network to use as many tracks as they like from over
fifty music CDs. A single payment of just £110 clears
music in an entire production falling to £40 per production
for regular users of music. This compares with £116 charged
by traditional libraries to use just one 30 second music clip
in an international television programme. A typical programme
using 70 music clips can therefore save over £8,000 on
a single programme.
Jeremy Kimberlin, Head of Music at Channel 4 commented "Audio
Network is a wonderful idea that considerably cuts down the
amount of hassle, admin and cost of using music. Having all
the music cleared domestically and internationally at source
is becoming more and more important for Producers, especially
those in the business of reversioning programming for international
distribution. Audio Network is the first company to make a serious
attempt at resolving these problems.”
Audio Network’s fast growing music catalogue is being
promoted alongside the prestigious sound effects from SoundStorm,
the OSCAR winning Hollywood based sound designers. Audio Network
announced the launch of the sound effects e-commerce module
at www.audiolicense.net last quarter.
