Production companies to get access to famous Hollywood sound-effects archive

Soundstorm, the OSCAR/BAFTA winning sound editorial house formed Audio Network in partnership with two directors from the international music publisher, Boosey & Hawkes and 60 world class composers.

Audio Network have exclusive worldwide rights to supply high quality audio content from the massive Soundstorm archive to the international film and television production community.

Following a year categorising the massive archive the effects are now being loaded to a sound server for download of individual effects from www.audiolicense.net and are being supplied on hard-drives to major studio facilities and broadcasters.

"Eighteen years of recording new and authentic sound effects for major motion pictures has resulted in a legendary effects library consisting of over 200,000 sounds. This is the first time that anyone outside our own in-house editorial team will have access to the catalogue" said John Switzer, Soundstorm's Former Vice President.

Audio Network has also commissioned a brand new high quality music catalogue that is being promoted alongside the Soundstorm sound effects catalogue.

The founding shareholders in Audio Network include Robert Hurst and Andrew Sunnucks the CFO and Media Director from Boosey & Hawkes. The first investors in the company were John Dankworth and Cleo Laine whose continued support of British musical talent has made this and many other projects possible.

Andrew Sunnucks background is as a music producer. He set up his own Soho based production company Big Picture Music in 1992, and sold it to Boosey & Hawkes in 1998 becoming their Media Director in the process.

Sunnucks achieved significant growth in the media use of the Boosey catalogues whilst also running Cavendish Music library and was responsible for launching the highly successful 'Editors Construction Kit' series.

Before joining Boosey & Hawkes Robert Hurst held various business development roles with Pearson and Cable & Wireless building on his accounting qualification with PriceWaterhouse.
