Doug is a regular session player and composer for the Audio Network music library.

He is best known as the man who was both Robert Plant and Nigel Kennedy's guitarist!

As a successful session player throughout the eighties, Doug went on to play around the world as part of a number of top acts. He worked with Robert Plant for 5 years, playing and composing on the phenomenally successful Now and Zen, Manic Nirvana, and Fate of Nations albums and world tours.

On returning to London he resumed freelance work for such artists as Paul Young and Kiki Dee. In 1995 he met violinist Nigel Kennedy and begun playing, composing, recording and touring extensively with him, an association that continues to this day.

His television compositions include the theme and most of the incidental music for Channel 4's Return to River Cottage series.
